Digital Marketing Frequently Asked Questions

Blogging

  • What’s the total setup cost to start a blog that makes money in the long run?

Recently, one of my clients asked me: "If I want to start a blog that makes money in the long run, what's the total setup cost?"

So, if you are having this same question in your mind, here is my answer for you.
The total setup cost for a blog that makes money in the long run will vary depending on your specific needs and goals.

This cost will cover the basics, such as a domain name, web hosting, and a WordPress theme. You may also want to purchase some premium plugins or add-ons to enhance your blog's functionality.

Once you have your blog set up, you'll need to start investing in content creation. This may involve hiring a writer or editor (if you can't do it yourself). You may also want to invest in advertising to promote your blog and reach a wider audience.

Once you have steady people or traffic, you can monetize your blog through a variety of methods, such as affiliate marketing, display advertising, and selling your own products or services.

But to direcctly asnswer the question, here is a breakdown of the typical setup costs for a blog:

    • Domain name: $10-$15 per year
    • Web hosting: $2.95-$15 per month
    • WordPress theme: $0-$49
    • Premium plugins: $0-$217
    • Content creation: $0-$500 per month
    • Advertising: $0-$1,000 per month

    Total setup cost: $50-$200

It's important to note that these are just estimates. Your actual costs may vary depending on your specific needs and goals. For example, if you want to start a blog with a custom design, you may need to hire a web developer . And if you plan on investing heavily in advertising, your monthly costs will be higher.

In my opinion, the most important thing is to start small and invest as you grow. Once you start generating revenue from your website/blog, you can reinvest that money into improving your blog and growing your audience.

If you you need help starting your blog or you need alternative ways to monetize your blog,
    let's talk.

Social Media Advertising

  • Daily budget vs. lifetime budget: Which is better for your Facebook ads?

Yesterday, one of my client who is a member of my PAID Private Inner Circle Mentorship Program asked me this question about choosing the best budget when planning to run Facebook Ad, here is the qustion, “Please what best budget should I use? Daily budget or Lifetime budget?”

So, I want to answer her question right now for people like you who may be having a similar question or concern. But before that, if you are intrested in my Paid Mentorship Program where you can ask me any questions on topics related to digital marketing, get my best tips, strategies, tools, techniques, guidiance, and advice on digital marketing, you can contact me here

That been said, here is my Response to the question:

Whether you should use a daily budget or a lifetime budget when planning to run your Facebook ads depends on your specific campaign goals, objectives, and how you want to spend your budget.

If you have end date or a specific time period you want to focus on, go for a lifetime budget. This will allow you to allocate a fixed amount for the entire campaign duration. This works well if you are planning to run ads for events, product launches, or time-sensitive promotions.

On the other hand, if you want more control on your Facebbok Ads on a day-to-day basis and the flexibility to adjust spending as you go, a daily budget is the way to go. This is good for ongoing campaigns where you want to optimize and tweak things regularly.

So, what Is Mm best advice for you?

If you are new to Facebook advertising, I recommend starting with a daily budget. This will give you more control over your spending and make it easier to manage your campaigns. Once you have more experience and have a better understanding of how Facebook ads work, you can experiment with lifetime budgets.

Ultimately, the best way to decide which budget type to use is to test, experiment, and see what works best for your specific campaigns.

    I hope this helps!

Digital Marketing

  • What is digital marketing?

Yesterday, one of our followers who viewed our WhatsApp Status asked us to explain to her what digital marketing is all about. She said “Pls tell me about digital marketing”.

So, if you are also interested in knowing what digital marketing is about, its benefits to your business, and how you can get started, then read our answer below carefully. Don’t also forget you can ask your question after reading 😊

Ready to get the answer? Here is it 👇

Different people may explain digital marketing differently based on their knowledge and understanding of the topic. But basically, digital marketing is all about using online tools and channels to promote your product, service, or idea to the right people at the right time…

    Let’s give you an example:

Imagine you have a shop where you sell shoes, clothes, etc, and you want to sell more…

Traditional marketing might involve putting up signs or handing out flyers in your neighborhood…

Digital marketing on the other hand is like having your online shop where you can sell your products or services! It’s about using the internet and technology to reach more people and sell your shoes, clothes (or whatever you’re offering).

Are you getting it? Let’s proceed…

Digital Marketing has some processes you can follow if you’re just getting started…

    Here’s a breakdown:

    👉 Think of your audience
Who are you trying to reach? Are they food lovers who are scrolling through Instagram, people who love fashion that are scrolling on Facebook, business professionals checking LinkedIn, or gamers browsing YouTube? Understanding your audience is key.

    👉 Pick the right tools
There are many digital marketing “channels” you can choose to start with, let me give some below:

    1. Building a website: Think of your website as your online shop. It’s where people can learn about your product, see pictures of your products and even place orders.

    2. Social media: You can share cool pictures of your products, run contests, and interact with potential customers directly.

    3. Search engines: When people search for “best shoe seller near me,” you want them to find your business! Search engine optimization (SEO) helps your website rank higher in search results, bringing more customers to your virtual stand.

    4. Online ads: Imagine paying a small fee to have your products advertised on social media platforms liek Facebook, Instagram, etc. This can reach a wider audience and bring in new customers who might not have found you otherwise.

    5. Email marketing: Collect email addresses from your customers and send them special offers, new arrivals, or loyalty rewards. It’s like giving out coupons!

Like I said, there are many channels you can pick from, above are just some of them.

If you understand to this point, let’s move on to how your business can benefit from digtal marketing.

    Some Benefits of digital marketing:

🚩 Reach more people: You’re not limited to your neighborhood any more! You can reach people all over the world.

🚩 Targeted marketing: You can tailor your message to specific groups of people who are more likely to be interested in your product.

🚩 Track your results: You can see exactly how many people are seeing your ads, visiting your website, and buying your products. This helps you adjust your strategy for better results.

…and many more digital marketing will do for your busniness

But remember that: Digital marketing is like having a toolbox with many tools. When you’re getting started, you don’t need to use all of them at once, but choose the right tools (channels) and using them effectively can help you reach more customers and grow your business!

I hope this my simple explanation gives you a basic understanding of what digital marketing is all about.
